I've been meaning to try Sizzling Kitchen in the old T&M Vietnamese spot since it opened its doors late last year. I've heard good things and that they serve macaroons, pho and Italian pasta on the same menu????
The Mo and I finally made our way there on a weekday night and we were the only dining patrons at 7 PM. Service was friendly and quick.
We started off with some traditional eggrolls
(because you know how much I love eggrolls!) and their Signature Sizzling Kitchen specialty rolls. It featured teriyaki beef, rice, kimchee, scallions, and mushrooms. It reminded me of bimbim bap in a rice paper roll. Tit was delicious but a bit overwhelming with the different flavors and textures.

They had a wing special on their chalkboard but I have a feeling that its always a "special" there. We went with the cilantro wings. It was actually really tasty. I asked for white rice because it seemed like it would balance the burst of flavors. The wings were extra crispy and had the perfect amount of sauce.

For dinner, we shared the special shrimp sizzler platter. There was a generous amount of tempura colossal fried shrimp served on a sizzling platter of onions and peppers. The shrimp was coated with a sauce similar to Mae ploy Thai chili sauce. It was good but I felt like it was something I could make at home sans the sizzler platter.

The food was good but nothing extraordinary. We would probably go back to try the bimbim bap or a pasta dish.
