After driving around the city and not being able to find parking by Copley, the Mo and I headed to
Assembly Row where there is a plethora of free parking. We picked up some things for ourselves at the outlet stores before grabbing lunch at
Legal on the Mystic. It was Sunday around noon and the restaurant was only half occupied.
We were seated at a high top table near the bar. Not having a purse hook was a bit annoying but I hung it off the edge of my counter top stool.
Our server came by and took our drink order. Since it was Sunday, I went with the Bloody Mary and added a colossal cocktail shrimp for only $1.00 extra.
Instead of getting 2 large entrees, the Mo and I split several seafood items from the
lunch menu. Once we ordered, our server brought over two warm rolls with butter. We started with a "mug" of lobster bisque. It was a bit too heavy and creamy to my liking and was just OK. For $10.00, I expected a bit more lobster meat.

Lobster Bisque $9.95 |
The crispy calamari came in three variations: Regular, Rhode Island and Thai Style. Of course we were biased and went with that Asian flavor served with pineapple, scallion and peanuts. I loved that it came with chopsticks.

Fried Calamari "Thai" Style $12.95 |
After inquiring what the market price for the fried New England clam meal was, we decided it wasn't too bad to share. The dish came with 2 sides and we went with the seaweed salad and French fries! I love seaweed salad! The kitchen must have thought that was an awkward pairing. The kitchen took upon themselves to evenly split the dish into two plates to make it easier for us to share. I loved that they did that! The portions were generous!

The food was great and the service was wonderful. My only complaint is that I saw the advertisement for the gift cards while we were dining and asked if I could purchase one and put our current tab towards the gift card and the answer was no. We weren't going to spend the whole $200.00 and we'd be back again but they wouldn't allow it. It didn't make sense, other high end steak houses allow you to buy gift-cards and use it whenever you want (even on the same day you purchased it).
That left a bad taste in my mouth. (NO pun intended)
