Del Frisco's in Boston is not only our favorite steakhouse but also our favorite restaurant! The patio has opened for the season and it was great sitting on the water with the heated lamps. Service was inconsistent, it took us a while to get drinks. I got a blue cheese stuffed martini (The Professional) for $15.50 and the Mo went with his usual whisky, Dewar's 12 yr special at $11.00 each.
The food was amazing as always! We started with the Seafood Plateau for 2 raw bar that had 4 oysters, 4 shrimp cocktail, 2 crab claw and 2 King crab leg along with a few sauces. Our server advised us that it was the end of the season for the crab legs but the restaurant somehow negotiated to get a few more shipments. The meat in the crab leg was sweet, tender and succulent.
The Mo and I split a 22 oz bone in rib-eye and the special fish of the day, stuffed sole with lump crab meat.
The stuffed sole with crab was really good. I loved the creamy sauce paired with the fish. The crab portion was generous. I was expecting more bread crumb filler but the restaurant didn't cheap out at all.
The steak actually came out a 26 oz NY strip and was a tad bit overcooked and management offered us a new one. I was so upset that I didn't get my marbleized rib eye. We didn't want to over order, so we just got the colossal onion rings for a side to share family style.
We declined to wait for a new steak and to our surprise, they gave us some free desserts. The butter cake is AMAZING, definitely try it out!
Del Frisco's is always a great place to celebrate any special occasion or to impress a date. Expect to pay about $200.00-$400.00 per a couple.
They now offer their $55.00 special throughout the summer. You can get a filet, a salad and a choice of shrimp, crab cake or scallops for only $55.00. It's a steal!
Too bad I am loyal to my marbleized rib eye.
