Wings & Nachos at Game On Fenway
We were heading to Fenway for a Red Sox game and wanted to grab a few drinks and a bite to eat before heading into the stadium where we'd pay premium pricing.
Game On is conveniently located right on Lansdowne street right by the gate we'd use to get to our seats.
Since it was close to the start of the game, the restaurant was starting to clear out. We scored a small table in the downstairs area near the ping pong lounge. We ordered a round of drinks and my friend got the espresso martini. She said it was really good.
Being the huge hot dog fan that I am, I had to try the foot long hot dog.

Recipe: Cambodian fried rice or Yang Chow rice
At every Cambodian party or get together, there is usually fried rice. The Chinese version is called Yang Chow fried rice. Unlike the typical Chinese pork fried rice, this version of the fried rice does not have any soy sauce and served on the lighter side.
This is a party size recipe for 2 large trays
All you can eat lunch "buffet" at Mandarin Asian Bistro in Lowell
Back a few months ago, I did a blog post on the grand opening of Mandarin Asian Bistro on Market street in Lowell and it was just okay. The Mo and I walked by the restaurant on a warm Spring day in April with the pups and saw a sign on the window for "All you can eat lunch buffet 7 days a week" for only $9.99 and it intrigued us and made a mental note to visit again.

Creole Cooking class in Seychelles
I was intrigued by the Cooking Class offered by Avani Seychelles Barbarons so I made a reservation with the head chef, Ashley from Australia and we were all set for the next day. There were two option, Creole and Thai but I felt like I knew how to make the Thai dishes so I opted for the Creole.
Originally, we had planned on cooking al fresco on the beach but due to the winds and threats of a storm, they made the decision to head indoors and use the kitchen at their onsite specialty restaurant, Tamarind.

Al Reem Lounge at Abu Dhabi Airport
On our way back from Seychelles, we had an 8 hour layover in Abu Dhabi. Our flight from Mahe was delayed a couple of hours and by the time we disembarked the plane and went through customs and immigration, it wasn't worth it to leave the airport. We still had about 4 hours to kill before we were required at the gate so the Mo and I opted to pay for access to Al Reem airport lounge in Abu Dhabi airport.
The lounge is located in terminal 1 and was a bit of a walk from our gate 58 in terminal 3. The lobby was inviting and had a "spa like" check in desk. The 3 ladies behind the desk were very informative and kind. They even suggested that we take a tour before we commit.

Feng Shui lunch buffet in Chelmsford
Feng Shui operates 3 restaurants in Massachusetts, one in Chelmsford, one in Tyngsboro and another in Cohasset. The restaurant boasts high end Asian cuisine featuring special maki rolls and Japanese hibachi teppanyaki style meals. If one doesn't want to participate in the lively cooking show, there's an extensive menu with Japanese and Chinese offerings.
We visited the Chelmsford location today for their weekend lunch buffet. Price was reasonable, less $15.00 per person. We got there right when it opened at 11:30 AM and the workers were still setting up the buffet.
Our server came to get our drink order and asked if we wanted soup. The options were miso, hot and sour and wonton. There was no egg drop so I went with the wonton. It was actually pretty good.
For the buffet, there were 7 types of maki rolls and 3 types of sushi on rice.

Pan-Asian cuisine at Tamarind Restaurant on Mahe Island Seychelles
After a day of sleeping, reading, swimming and drinking, one can develop an appetite.
I might be biased because I'm Asian but the specialty Pan Asian Tamarind Restaurant at Avani Seychelles Barbarons is probably the BEST resort dining that I've tried. We ate there 3 nights out of the 4 nights we stayed in that area of Seychelles. There were other restaurants on site and others nearby but we opted for Tamarind almost every night (maybe it's also the fact that we were drunk most nights and the restaurant was only a few steps from our suite.)
The beachfront restaurant features an Asian inspired menu with a chef from Thailand. Most of the ingredients are local but there are some specialty items that are imported from United Arab Emirates and Indonesia.
