An endearing engagement party for Amsi & Tim

This past weekend, the Mo and I had the opportunity to be invited to Amsi and Tim’s engagement party.  The beautiful affair was held at Tim’s parents’ home in Lowell.

Kate and Bud did an incredible job transforming their backyard into a mini gala with stationary appetizers, passed Hors d'oeuvre not to mention the endless flow of wine, champagne and beer (Timmy insisted on the keg, good call Tim!)

I loved the personalized touch with the printed napkins with the engaged couple's name and the welcome chalk board sign at the end of the driveway.

The weather was absolutely perfect and the glowing bride to be was surrounded by her closest friends and family. What a wonderful day to celebrate the engaged couple!

Since we had a prior engagement, we arrived an hour late to the party. On the menu, there were Amsi’s favorite chicken salad finger sandwich, two types of wings, spinach dip and cheese/antipasto like Mediterranean skewers.

I was really excited for the passed appetizers, they are my absolute favorite,  bacon wrapped scallops!

There was also tasty beef skewers, coconut shrimp, and chicken on toasted crostini.  Most of the food was catered by Bianco’s Catering in Tyngsboro.  They did a fantastic job! The staff was friendly and helpful throughout the event. I would definitely recommend them.

The beautiful flower arrangements were done by Belvidere Florist

After a couple of tear jerking speeches, the party was in full swing.  I've met most of the people from previous parties and events hosted by the foundation so it was nice to catch up with everyone.

Dessert was served an hour before the party was schedule to wrap up.  Kate served homemade champagne flute shaped sugar cookies. I was very impressed with her creativity and the results of her efforts.

There were also yummy chocolate, lemon and raspberries cupcakes that Kate ordered from a bakery in Nashua.  They tasted like mini wedding cakes.

No dessert was sweeter than Amsi's nieces that graced the engagement party.

Once it got dark, Timmy had the fire pit going.  It was the perfect fall evening to enjoy a nice warm fire among friends.  The couple treated their guests to delicious Chinese food before everyone headed home.

I had so much fun and cannot wait to celebrate the awesome couple’s wedding in Maine next Spring!  I am blessed to have Amsi and Tim and my lift and all the wonderful people she has introduced me to.
