Jacque Torres New York Times Chocolate Chip Cookies
Every time my friends and I get together for a gather, our friend Kevin H. never disappoints with his over sized chocolate chip cookies. During the past holiday season, our office had a cookie swap. I asked Kevin for the recipe and he told me that he just "Googled" a cookie recipe and found this amazing NY times Chocolate Chip cookie online.
I decided to give it a try but little did I know it required soooo many ingredients and pricey chocolate chips. I did skimp on the chocolate chips, the recipe called for chocolate discs but as you can see in the pictures below, I opted for the Ghiradelli chocolate along with store brand ingredients.

Office Cookie Swap
It turned out that I did not win any prizes that year but took home honorable mention. The winners were a store-bought white chocolate cookie dough (yes, I'm a hater), a pinwheel peppermint cookie (gotta admit it was creative) and an anisette cookie (If I didn't taste the cookie and ask for the recipe myself, I would have thought that my bosses, who were also the judges was biased because they are both Italian.. but the anisette cookies were amazing and I made them for my own holiday gifts)
